Air represents the conception of  new ideas, a spark that seeks knowledge. It carries freedom to choose the direction you take. Air is the clear, uncluttered visualization that is essential in affecting change. It is the catalyst to manifestation.

Air rules the Eastern Quarter, the direction of the birth of new light, the light of inspiration, individuality and consciousness.

Air takes us on a journey to discover who we truly are, and ends with how we put that discovery out into the world.

Air is a masculine element, dry, expansive, active, and invasive. Air offers Powers of mind, new wisdom, and higher intuition. It also teaches power of self-mastery through appropriate strength of will.

Ritual For Free-Thought

This ritual is performed daily for a full lunar cycle.

Facing East, and preferably during the morning hours, begin with your own ritual prayer and greeting to invite the quarters, deities, & relations to bless your space and bear witness to your ceremony.

Visualize yourself on a hilltop or in an open field with billowing clouds transforming their shapes as they pass by, carried by the current.

Close each session by thanking the Quarters, Deities & Relations for their Presence & Power.

Leave an offering of tobacco, herbs, smudging, crystal or other gift in Thanks for giving testimony to your sacred ceremony.

For three days, beginning on the waxing crescent moon, document your thoughts, dreams, ideas, and desires through free-form writing, journaling, vision boarding, or any documented expression that suits you.

Visit your list throughout the remainder of the lunar cycle, from the first quarter to the Full Moon. Editing & refining your thoughts until the path to independence with sovereignty becomes clearer. Write this clear vision on a separate piece of paper, giving it a timeline. Store in a sacred vessel of your choosing.  Open your capsule at the end of your timeline and evaluate.  You will be surprised at how much of your vision was accomplished in your given time frame.
